What is Weighted Extraction?

Photo shows the weighted extraction unit extracting water from carpeted flooring SERVPRO of South San Francisco City/ San Bruno uses the Weighted Extraction Unit on most water losses that have carpeted flooring.

There are many different machines used during water removal.  The weighted extraction unit is one of them!

The weighted extraction unit is mainly used on carpeted flooring that has been affected by water.  Not just a spill of water, but with water that completely soaked the entire carpeted floor.

The weight of the technician and the machine combined assists with extracting the water out of the carpet and even down to the carpet padding.  The weighted extraction unit is controlled and driven around the affected room to extract the water from the carpeted flooring.

The weighted extraction unit is a ride-on machine that maximizes water removal to assist with faster drying.  The point is to get all the standing water out as much as possible, so drying can easily be performed!
